Madeira’s IBC presented at an international conference in London

On the 26th of May, the Business Relocation & Tax Jurisdiction Selection conference will take place in London. This event will address the main aspects of relocation of international investments and will analyse the most recent trends in the sector.

The International Business Centre of Madeira will be one of the jurisdictions in focus at the event, which will also have the participation of other jurisdictions such as Ireland, Switzerland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Malta, Cyprus, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

The Madeira case will be presented by Patrick Dewerbe, Tax Partner from Rui Pena, Arnaut e Associados (Portugal), under the topic “Madeira as a Holding Company Regime”.

S.D.M. is responsible, on behalf of the Regional Government of Madeira, for the management, administration and promotion of the International Business Centre of Madeira (IBC), a programme of regional economic development consisting of an attractive tax regime, granted with the objective of attracting inward investment to modernize, diversify and internationalize the island’s economy.

Several activities may be undertaken within the IBC of Madeira benefiting from a preferential tax regime fully recognized and approved by the E.U. and applicable until the end of 2020.
