 Promotional AgendaS.D.M. undertakes several promotional events on a regular basis, from seminars and workshops to promotional missions made up of one-on-one meetings with interested consultants or investors. These events are a useful and practical way of learning more about the advantages of Madeira's IBC. S.D.M. will visit the U.K. in May to promote Madeira’s IBC. The programme will include meetings and presentations with consultants, lawyers and entities from different sectors of activity. The promotional mission will take place over a week in London. The organization of the mission will have the support of S.D.M.s local correspondent which will set up an agenda of meetings. As usual, the focus will be on the corporate structures that can be licensed to operate within the IBC of Madeira as well as on the International Shippping Register of Madeira - MAR and, more specifically, on the advantages offered for the registration of commercial vessels and yachts. Poland and Russia: 26th to the 31st of MayWarsaw and Moscow
This mission will take place on the last week of May and wil be a follow up to the visits to Warsaw and to Moscow in 2012. As usual, there will be an extensive schedule of meetings with local and international consulting companies, law firms and other investment entities to promote Madeira and discuss the several investment opportunities provided by the IBC’s low taxation regime and full E.U. status. Switzerland: 9th to the 14th of June
Zurich, Geneva and Vaduz
The mission will consist of round-table lunch presentations as well as one to one meetings with local practitioners in these three cities, including consultants, law firms and other relevant entities. This visit is an update of the most relevant developments of the legal framework of the IBC of Madeira covering the main aspects of its preferential tax regime and highlighting the investment opportunities for specific types of activities, such as international trading activities and holding companies. Colombia and Peru: 16th to the 22nd of JuneBogota and Lima
In 2013 S.D.M. will return to Bogotá, Colombia, to promote Madeira as the ideal gateway for Colombian exporting and services companies to access the E.U. market. In fact, Madeira offers tax and operational advantages, as well as similar cultural and language contexts which facilitate investments from Latin America. This year, we will also extend our visit to Lima, Peru, to meet with local consultants and practitioners to explain the opportunities offered by Madeira to companies interested in investing or expanding into the E.U..
